I have been working in HR management for more than 25 years and since 2017 as a freelance interim manager in HR, HR consultant, and lawyer (see: https://www.ahrenslegal.de).
As an Interim Manager HR, I feel at home in both corporate groups and SMEs. I usually work for internationally operating companies. Whether you are looking to fill an HR management vacancy, manage a strategic change project, take on an HR M&A task, work with employee committees, provide employment law advice or optimize HR processes, I am a competent partner with integrity and a trusted advisor at your side.
In the past, my interim projects lasted between 6 months and 1.5 years (2.5- 4 days/week).
As an external HR-consultant, I develop tailor-made concepts for your organisation in the area of personnel and organisational development and implement them either alone, with employees of your organisation or with external partners. I studied law in Marburg and specialized in employment law during my legal clerkship. After my 2nd state examination in 2000, I went straight into HR, at VIVA at the time. It was a colourful and varied time when I was given responsibility early on and learned the HR business from the ground up.
Subsequently, between 2005 and 2016, I worked as HR Director in international companies in the healthcare industry (Molnlycke Health Care, UCB & PAREXEL). During this time, I advised the executive board and management on the successful design and implementation of various change projects and led HR teams. Cooperative and trusting collaboration with works councils, fair dealings with the workforce and good communication have always been important to me.
In 2017, I started my own business as a lawyer and management consultant/interim manager. My industry focus is on Health Care & Pharma, Software Development. & FMCG. I am a certified data protection officer of the GDPR/German Data Protection Act (TÜV 2018) and completed the specialist lawyer course for labour law in 2017.
In addition to sound legal knowledge and in-depth HR expertise, my strengths include negotiating skills, an analytical mindset, assertiveness, and an “eye for the big picture”.
My mantra is lifelong learning! I am a Senior Certified HR Professional (SHRM), trained in NLP and Motivational Interviewing and am a Scrum Master (scruminc). My clients appreciate my flexibility, quick thinking, dedication, integrity, solution orientation and sense of humor.
In my free time, I enjoy short breaks cycling at the Rhine, good food with my partner and friends, cats (and dogs too), Italian red wines, Netflix and technology gadgets. I like traveling, and visiting music festivals and exhibitions.
